AFFILIATION CRITERIA

Member groups must agree to maintain the high standards expected by Konjaku Shin,
in both the practice and ethics of Karate-do.

Instructors must be of minimum Shodan grade, over eighteen years of age, and their dan grades must have been
awarded by a recognised and reputable association. Applicants must supply the relevant grade documents/certificates
for each of it's instructors when submitting applications.

All instructors must hold current Professional Indemnity Insurance, and Enhanced CRB Clearance,
proof of which must be submitted with Affiliation Applications. Each instructor is responsible for the relevant costs.

Affiliation will not be given automatically where applicants are unknown to the Konjaku Shin Chief Instructor.
In such cases arrangements must be made for him to visit the club, or for instructors of the club
to visit and train at the Konjaku Shin Headquarters, so he can assess their standard.

Instructors and students moving from other associations may retain their present grades, but subsequent
up-grading will only be allowed once the Konjaku Shin Chief Instructor is satisfied that the member has
reached the equivalent Konjaku Shin standard for their present grade.

Affiliation will NOT be issued in the name of a country; only in the name of the club/association.
