The Konjaku Shin grading syllabus is structured so as to test each students ability when attempting a particular grade, and determine the progress they have made since their last examination. The examination is more demanding the higher the applicants grade.

Beginners taking their first grading examination will be asked to perform a very basic set of techniques. Each subsequent grading examination will increase in it's demands on the student.
